Confidence with Accents Workshop

Service Description

This will be a two hour workshop. With a lecture section at the beginning and practical applications for the majority of the class. - This is not dialect training - This workshop is for building confidence and trying out something new. You will not be judged for being bad or leaning into accent archetypes to help with slipping into the accent, as this is a place to learn and improve. Nobody is perfect at an accent right away. We will never cover anything considered racist. If anyone has any issues at all, with any particular accent, for any reason, please let me know before or during class, and we will not attempt that accent. The comfort and safety of students is my top priority, and I want you to feel you can speak up. This workshop will never be recorded for any reason. Content: - Overview of the content - Brief warm-ups / icebreaker - How to teach yourself any accent - Confidence building techniques - Group improvisation using a series of different accents (you do not have to be good at it, this is a place to learn) - General Q&A
